Capcom announced their plan to take on the downloadable arenas of the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 today, a move they dub their "Digital Initiative." The first phase of the Digital Initiative is the announcement of four new downloadable games that are slated for realase sometime this Fall: Rocketmen: Axis of Evil (PS3 and Xbox 360) Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (PS3 and Xbox 360) Talisman (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) I believe this is the first time a company has announced concurrent development of a game on both the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Arcade. Rocketmen: Axis of Evil will be an arcade shooter based on the popular WizKids property. Up to four players will be able to join the Alliance of Free Planets to blast away at the enemy.
Community complains over police and immigration cooperation
CARLSBAD ---- Some Latino immigrants say recent cooperation between Carlsbad Police Department and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents has resulted in the deportation of at least 15 people and is creating an atmosphere of fear in the community.Immigrants said police officers are frequently calling immigration authorities after stopping them for traffic violations. Some immigrants said they are specially concerned about patrols in the area around Jefferson Elementary School in the heart of the city's Latino neighborhood. Carlsbad police Chief Tom Zoll could not be reached for comment Thursday. But he told a group made up primarily of Latinos on Wednesday that in some instances officers call immigration authorities for assistance, including to help identify people who don't have proper identification.

"It has the ability to read aloud the information contained on the screen -- most convenient when trying to multitask or, in a few cases, trying to educate a few of our reading-challenged employees." The problem: This key user is having problems with the "read aloud" function. For half a month, the user has been trying every imaginable adjustment to get the sound working.
Blades trying to put regular season against Texas behind them
One lineup change, at least since the regular season, will continue to be having Ernie Hartlieb take some ice time as a defenseman. The right winger has spent some time on defense since the recall of defenseman Mike Card to the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans after the Blades' second playoff game on April 14. Fleming said there could be some potential roster moves before tonight's game, but he didn't want to disclose any details. Some possibilities could be activating forward Dan Baum, who has been on the injured list since April 1. He scored two goals and had four assists in just six games for the Everblades this season. Card could also return if the Americans lose tonight's game against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Rochester trails 2-1 in the North Division semifinals of the AHL playoffs, and Card has played in all three games thus far.
